Important Deadlines and Reminders

Wednesday, March 9, 11:59 p.m. MST – Online registration closes.  Last day to cancel registration with a refund.   On-site registration will begin Sunday, March 20, 11:00 a.m. PST

Saturday, March 12 – Last day to reserve at Conference Hotel with special AHSIE Rate (see below for details).

Shuttle service from airport to hotel –  If you require transportation from the airport to your hotel, reserve your seat with  Roadrunner Shuttle & Limousine Service.

The Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE) is committed to fostering success and promoting educational opportunities at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). Each year, AHSIE sponsors a national HSI/Title V Best Practice Conference designed to unite and mobilize HSI institutions and empower educators and practitioners with the latest methods and resources.

The 8th Annual HSI/Title V Best Practice Conference will be held at California State University- Channel Islands, Camarillo, CA on March 20-23, 2016 and will offer attendees access to a range of resources that include:

Partner with members of HSIs from across the country to improve administrative management, faculty development and project management procedures
Share feedback with other HSIs from across the country to learn more about programs and initiatives that work best for students
Attend presentations from leading industry professionals who highlight issues that are unique to HSIs
Learn how to effectively implement proven strategies into your school’s programs and maximize grant funding

You can register online (See link below) or onsite at CSU Channel Islands. We encourage you to register early to take advantage of the Early bird discounted rate. See below for details on fees.

The standard conference registration fee is $475, with discounts for retirees and students. We also offer a one-day registration. We are also pleased to offer members of HACU a courtesy discounted rate.

Last day to register without a refund is Sunday, March 6, 2016.

There are three airports within a 55-mile radius of Camarillo. We recommend that you fly into Burbank Bob Hope Airport, which is approximately 48 miles to Camarillo. Los Angeles International Airport or Santa Barbara Airport, are both approximately 54 miles to Camarillo. While there are a variety of ground transportation options to Camarillo from which ever airport you choose, we are pleased to share that Roadrunner Shuttle & Limousine Service is an official transportation sponsor of the 2016 AHISE Best practices Conference (
