Title V PPOHA Project Director
Melissa L. Freeman is the Project Director for the Title V PPOHA grant at Adams State University. Freeman holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration (2007) from Ohio University (Athens, OH). She is the founding director of the master’s program in Higher Education Administration & Leadership (HEAL) at Adams State University, which was funded by a FIPSE grant. Freeman teaches courses about the history of higher education, the American college student, and higher education public policy. Freeman’s research interests include access issues to higher education, particularly for historically marginalized groups.
