Membership FAQ

  • Go to the login page. Membership for AHSIE members runs from January-December of every year. If you can’t log in because your membership has expired, please reach out to our administrative assistant at admin@ahsie.org and copy our President, Dr. Paloma Vargas at pvargas@ahsie.org if you are having trouble with your password. 

    The most common reason for not being able to login is that there are two AHSIE records with two different email addresses for the same person. This may happen if you changed positions at institutions, for example. Please notify our AHSIE team if your status changes. 

  • Eligibility of membership is based on your current employment status at any current or emerging HSI or any organizational and/or corporate affiliation to HSIs and the current organization of AHSIE. 

  • Description text goes hereThe AHSIE Membership year runs on a calendar basis.

    New or returning members, who join between January 1st and December 31st will pay the dues rate for the current calendar year.

    For example, if you paid for membership in July, your membership will be active from July-December of that calendar year.

    It is important to note that membership does not extend beyond the calendar.

  • AHSIE’s membership is based on a calendar year; all memberships expire on 12/31 of the year you obtained membership.

  • At this time, we are not able to offer prorated membership rates. All memberships end 12/31 of the year you obtained membership regardless of purchase date.

  • Memberships are not transferable.

  • Membership, professional and/or student membership fees are non-refundable.

  • AHSIE does not currently offer multiple-year memberships.

  • AHSIE does not currently offer institutional memberships.

  • By renewing online, you are immediately sent your confirmation and have access to the “AHSIE Members Portal.” You may login at any time, click on “AHSIE Member Login” under “Members,” scroll down to the bottom right corner and click on “Account/Login.” Your membership plan history will be visible on your profile page. If your membership plan is active for the current year, it will read “[Paid].” Past membership plans will be listed as “[Expired].”

  • To request an invoice for membership, please fill out this form. This form will notify our administrative assistant and our Executive Director about your request. Please allow 7-10 days for processing. A follow-up email will be provided with your request.

  • Sorry about that! Please contact our administrative assistant at admin@ahsie.org because you may have a duplicate record with the same or different email addresses for your name. If any other issues arise about membership, make sure to contact us.

  • Login to your “AHSIE Members Portal” by clicking on “AHSIE Member Login” under “Members.” Scroll down to the bottom right corner and click on “Account/Login.” Click on “Edit your profile” under “Profile.” Under this link, there are also additional options to update your email address and password.

  • There are only 2 types of memberships (1) Professional and (2) students. If you are currently enrolled at a current or emerging HSI as a student, you can request membership as a student. If you are currently employed at an emerging or designated HSI or are an organizational affiliate, please request membership as a professional.
