The Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators will be awarding several scholarships for students, which will include the registration to attend the 16th Annual 2024 AHSIE Best Practices Conference scheduled March 17-20, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey, California.

Scholarship categories include: associate’s, bachelor’s, and graduate/doctoral levels.

Recipients will be selected based on the following eligibility requirements:

First-Generation college student
Currently attend an HSI in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
Must minimally turn 18 years of age by March 16, 2024
Enrolled full-time in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
Pell-eligible (undergraduate applicants only)
Undocumented students are eligible to apply
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Completed application (including 3 embedded short essays)
Scholarship recipients must attend the AHSIE Conference

The ideal candidate will demonstrate not only academic achievement but also the potential for leadership and contribution to the community. By attending this conference, we hope to provide students the ability to broaden experiences, develop networks and foster mentorship possibilities with HSI-designated campus professionals.

The award package includes a cash scholarship, conference registration, travel & hotel expense, and recipients will be honored at the AHSIE Conference.
